Emergency Supplies

When catastrophes occur, humanitarian assistance needs to be provided quickly. Aid organisations generally have very little time to organise aid supplies.

In its capacity as an EU-recognised Humanitarian Procurement Centre (HPC), BEGECA has taken the precaution of access to aid supplies, ready to be shipped immediately by air freight. The articles meet the quality standards for humanitarian assistance (Sphere).

BEGECA also supports charities in the local and regional purchase of relief supplies. To this end, availability, quality and prices are determined and offers are made. To simplify distribution to those in need, rations (called “food baskets”) and sets (i.e. kitchen sets, hygiene sets) are delivered.
